On December 11th, over 100 pupils, accompanied by their teachers, gathered at L’Envol des Pionniers to present the progress they have made on the Laté 28 educational project. The aim of this ambitious program is to reproduce, on the scale of 1, a non-flying replica of the Laté 28, the emblematic plane of which 50 models were produced from 1927 to 1932 by the Latécoère factories in Montaudran. The event took place in the presence of Mostafa Fourar, Rector of the Academy of Toulouse, and Jean Claude Dardelet, President of the Semeccel. The pupils, supervised by their teachers and members of the Laté 28 association, presented advances in the different project phases, notably the fuselage assembly frame delivered in June at L’Envol des Pionniers. This occasion enabled participants to better understand the full scope of the collaborative challenge which is expected to be completed in June 2028.
