On November 4th, the Cité de l’espace hosted the 16th edition of Prix Galaxie, organized by Club Galaxie. This award, which every year is given to innovative space companies in the Occitanie Region, showcases technological projects, products, services and applications from the space sector or which use space data. The 2024 Prix Galaxie was awarded to the company, ORIUS, which develops crop systems to produce fruit, vegetables, mushrooms and roots in particular for future space bases. The Prix Etoile was awarded to Tacita Dynamics, while GroundSpace won the jury’s Prix Coup de Coeur (the jury favourite).

For this year’s event, last year’s successful format was renewed with an event by the Grenier de Toulouse and a live vote by the audience who chose ALPHA IMPULSION for the first time audience prize. The evening also featured a fascinating talk by Professor Rapp about current world geopolitics.

Based at the Cité de l’espace, which supports it, Club Galaxie includes around one hundred companies in the Occitanie region. This organization has been working for over twenty years to promote the space sector and grow its international footprint.
