On Wednesday, July 26th, Jean-Claude Dardelet, President of the Cité de l’espace and Vice-President of Toulouse Métropole and Jean Baptiste Desbois, CEO of the Cité de l’espace hosted the 8 millionth visitor to the Cité de l’espace. This is a new symbolically important milestone for the venue which celebrated its 7th million visitor in 2021 and welcomed a record-breaking 423,000 visitors in 2022. Coming with his family from Niort (79), Florent Morin, passionate about space and science fiction, made the trip to Toulouse specifically to visit the Cité de l’espace in two days. A lifetime pass was given to this smartphone application developer, as well as to his loved ones, as well as an invitation to join the big space family during the inauguration of the LuneXplorer. “The Cité de l’espace is the most visited cultural venue in the region. Today it is a destination which people are ready to travel from far away to see.” explains Jean-Claude Dardelet proudly, who now has his eye on hosting the 9 millionth visitor “in less than two years from now”.
